Introducing Sweet Audrey’s: The Heart of Grandiflora

Among the many distinctive spaces planned for Grandiflora, one stands out as the venue’s soulful center: Sweet Audrey’s. An elegant yet cozy piano bar, Sweet Audrey’s is designed for live music and cocktail hours, inviting guests to settle in and stay awhile.

At the focal point of the room sits a world-class Steinway player piano, ensuring exceptional sound whether it is accompanying a live performer or setting the mood between sets. Guests can gather at the expansive 20-seat bar or relax within intimate clusters of plush seating arranged around marble-top tables.

A Transitional Gem

Nestled between the Grand Hall and the courtyard, Sweet Audrey’s functions as both a standalone destination and a seamless expansion for larger celebrations. Project architect Sean Hackett of McCarty Holsaple McCarty (MHM) notes that the room’s flow and aesthetics act as a natural bridge, guiding guests from the mid-century warmth of the Grand Hall to the open-air beauty of the courtyard gardens.

Upon entering, guests are welcomed by soft curves, moody lighting, and a lush palette of earth and muted jewel tones. Tasseled bar stools, fabric wall panels and mosaic tile floors hint at a New Orleans sensibility, while Hackett describes the space as “eclectic transitional”—a layered blend that creates a unique experience for every guest.

Named With Love

Long before the first blueprints for Grandiflora were drawn, Phil Lawson—founder and chairman of the Grandiflora Foundation—held a clear vision. An avid jazz and blues enthusiast whose frequent getaway is New Orleans, Phil dreamed of creating an intimate, cozy venue where musicians could share their craft.

That vision is coming to life in Sweet Audrey’s, a name chosen as a heartfelt tribute to Phil and Janet Lawson’s granddaughter, Audrey. Much like its namesake, the space is designed to be unforgettable—a vibrant stage for family, friends, and fine music.

Distinctly Sweet Audrey’s

Sweet Audrey’s will host ticketed performances featuring solo artists, rising talent, and local acts. With space for 85 to 90 guests, the venue offers an intimate, front-row experience that makes every listener feel like part of the performance.

To further establish Sweet Audrey’s as a destination, the venue will feature its own dedicated entrance—separate from the Grand Hall—and a distinct brand identity.

We’re thrilled to debut the Sweet Audrey’s logo, created by Robin Easter Design. We think you’ll agree: looking at it, you can almost hear the trill of the high notes.
